About me

Sensitive, dreamer, doer and positive at heart. I firmly believe in human communication as a gift and as an essential expression of ourselves. An incredible "superpower" to change our lives in a meaningful and aligned way.

I research, look for neuroscientific basis, read the experts and masters, learn, practice and share everyday. I know I am able to make complex accessible, to “translate” and create spaces that cradle change, transformation and understanding.

And I want to share all these with you. I have adopted Mentorship as working tool, as it helps us to walk together the path to common growth and self meaningful life.

Mentoring

Mentoring as a working tool.
What is mentoring?

It is said that when Ulysses left for Ithaca, he entrusted his friend Mentor with the protection of his kingdom, the education of his son, and the welfare of his wife. In that process Mentor put his experience and knowledge. He, Penelope and Telemachus learned from each other, developed their tools and accompanied each other with affection in their mutual growth.

From a proper name, the word mentor became a common name to designate this practice in which a trusted and experienced professional is invited by another person to accompany him/her in carrying out a task that is difficult for him/her. By sharing, they create a space for mutual growth; a space of confidence, security and challenge, in which knowledge, experience, confidence and tools are transmitted.

The ‘mentoring’ accompanies by providing a new look, new tools and options for the mentee to act according to their preferences and values.

A mentor is a guide. Someone who respects the path and goals your mentee has chosen and helps you get where you want to go personally, professionally or entrepreneurially, helping you go faster and make fewer mistakes. Today, the accompanying professionals is an increasingly professionalized activity.

Online or face-to-face mentoring?

Nowadays, technology allows us the possibility of choosing the face-to-face modality, in which the face-to-face helps to transmit experiences and knowledge; or the online modality, which helps to avoid the physical distance as well as to take advantage of time windows in all kinds of schedules and agendas.

Regardless of which option is chosen, mentoring should set a starting point and objectives. Along the way, it will be the mentee who adopts what he or she learns, applying it to his or her way of doing things, lifestyle and values. All the resources are focused on acquiring new tools to achieve those objectives that seemed impossible before the mentoring.

Mentoring levels

Reaching the goal that we perceive as difficult usually requires us to review actions, attitudes, emotions or fears, sometimes unconscious. Therefore, mentoring takes place at very different levels:

-Practical level: business and/or professional tools. Mentoring provides mentees with practical tools for their day-to-day work.

-Cognitive: Mentoring brings mutual growth. Mentoring incorporates new knowledge and tools to your own way of communicating, acting, selling or selling yourself…

-Emotional level: For mentoring to be effective, it is necessary to carry out an honest, sometimes intimate, and always personal work, oriented to meet objectives and grow in all areas.

Mentoring is, in short, an accompaniment to our growth as professionals and companies. A professional process whose results must be analyzed to measure our progress in terms of the established objectives.
